you know when you use an adjective with the definite article
to refer to a group of people, like "the old" (old people) or "the foolish" (foolish people)?

what's that called? does it have a fancy technical name?

They all come under collective nouns as far as I'm aware
EDIT: mneurgh, which makes them collective adjectives.

"foolish" isn't a collective noun though?
it seems like something different. maybe it doesn't have a name because it's not something you can do in Greek or Latin.
