This is a link post inspired by:
www.bbc.co.uk/news/av/world-latin-america-42718624/divers-in-mexico-have-discovered-the-world-s-longest-cave

I've been caving a few times and hated it. And I've scuba dived which is awesome because fish. The combination of both is abso-fucking-lutely terrifying.
There's a huge playlist of Sid Perou docs which takes you right through the history of cave diving. I've posted his first documentary. They get even scarier.

This is a link post Stopped off in a tiny NZ town and saw a sign for the Bayeux Tapestry and I couldn't believe what I saw next!
Guy had reconstructed the entire Bayeux Tapestry from the tiny metal teeth from cogs in industrial knitting machines.

Well you would wouldn't you!

It's evidently coming to UK to join the real thing soon. Fucking love this country, the batshit things you find in these little country towns.

This is a link post The Ace of Cups, the Haight's (Almost) Forgotten All-Girl Band
Amidst the cultural revolution of late-'60s San Francisco, five women reimagined the “girl band” in drastic fashion — which might be why you haven't heard of them.

Another new episode from my dads new series of animated shorts, which I and a few of dads mates are trying to finish for him (he sadly passed away in 2016).

In fact there may be a couple of eps I've forgotten to post on here so have a gander on the YouTubes if you get time!

This is a link post Frank Howarth - Stop Motion Kitchen Demolition
I love this guy's videos. He is a real craftsman (mainly woodworking) but also takes the time to produce really inventive videos.
This one is all stop motion but he also incorporates time lapse in other vids.

Another one has a great shot in it round about the 4 minute mark www.youtube.com/watch?v=R2n1FqAR7Wc

This is a link post Roll up Roll up, It's the Evolution Roadshow!
Watch in amazement as your creation lurches and flops about trying to fulfil your task (tasks limited to running, jumping, obstacle jump, and climbing)

Watch some more as the best from each generation teaches what they know to the next until your misshapen pitiful excuse for a collection of joints, bones, and muscles manages to eventually do something like the task.

Evolution game where you create a `creature` and then it tries to figure out moving when it knows nothing at all. Can you make a creature that can run, jump, avoid obstacles, and climb some stairs?

Free, runs on Unity in a web interface.
